Customized Pet Meds
Seed Round - February 2018
Visit MixLab
As pet owners, we know the lengths that we'd go to keep our furry little friends always feeling happy and healthy. So, when we met MixLab founder Fred Dijols during the early days of starting the company, we knew there was a big opportunity here. In a highly fragmented industry which is still largely operating in analog, Fred and his team have set out to build the first truly modern pet pharmacy. With a customer-centric culture, best in class software, and a state-of-the-art pharmacy, MixLab has made ordering and delivering customized pet medications easy for both veterinarians and pet owners.
MixLab opened it's first pet pharmacy on the westside of Manhattan in November 2017 and is currently filling prescriptions for pets throughout the Tri-State area with plans for a national expansion later in 2018.

A modern perspective on shaving + body, for women.
Seed Round - September 2017
Visit Billie
When we met Jason Bravman and Georgina Gooley, we couldn’t believe a company like Billie didn’t already exist, but maybe that shouldn’t have been a surprise. More than 5 years after the proven success of similar companies for men, women are still paying more for razors than they should be. Jason and Georgie saw that as an opportunity and are building Billie to bring a new perspective (and price point) to shaving and body for women.
Billie is a great example of founders with the right combination of experience meeting a clear need. Jason, a former investment banker, and Georgie, who had been a senior manager at a multi-national marketing agency, have the backgrounds to make an idea as big as Billie work. Look out for their launch in the fall of 2017.

Food. For cats.
Seed Round - July 2017
Visit Smalls
When Calvin Bohn & Matt Michaelson first told us about their next-generation cat food company, Smalls, we knew it was special. Their playful-but-principled brand had the power to connect with modern cat-lovers in way that no one else had.
Close friends since childhood, these co-founders have the proven functional expertise to build an innovative production process and differentiate Smalls in a crowded space. With a background in hotel catering management, Calvin would manage operations, including fresh preparation from wholesome, natural ingredients. A former digital growth strategist and consultant, Matt was already finding innovative ways to get Smalls in front of its intended audience. Smalls soft-launched in late August 2017 and will be available for wide release in the fall of 2017.

Better for renters. Better for landlords.
Seed Round - May 2017
Visit Rhino
The brainchild of an NYC landlord and a former financial analyst, Rhino was created to provide a smarter alternative to security deposits. Users simply pay a small monthly fee and landlords are covered for any damage that may occur during the lease. Unlike other insurtech companies, Rhino’s direct-to-landlord sales strategy keeps acquisition costs down.
We met Rhino founders Paraag Sarva, Ben Lantos and Bryan Woods when they were still in early stages and, already, they were impressively buttoned up. Paraag had the domain expertise, Ben was a Goldman Sachs trained operational whiz and Bryan had the proven tech chops needed to scale. Rhino has now partnered with a major insurance provider and is and actively growing its marketplace of landlords and renters in NYC.

Total visibility for elevator technicians
Seed Round - March 2017
Visit Knaq
We weren’t looking for hardware investments when we met co-founders Brian Carey and Tom Capotorto, but Knaq turned out to be something more. Engineers by trade, the founding team worked as elevator technicians for months and devised a deceptively simple means of tracking elevator performance and predicting potential issues. Over the next six months we learned that Brian and Tom are as thoughtful and deliberate in all aspects of their business as they are in the development of their product.
In the summer of 2017, we teamed Knaq up with Brooklyn design agency, Alden Wolf, to rebrand the company and build a sleek, user-first dashboard experience. The newly revamped Knaq is currently rolling out its product in buildings across New York and New Jersey.

Visit Dirty Lemon
When we met Dirty Lemon co-founders, Zak Normandin and Sommer Carroll in early 2015, the concept was still in its earliest days. The notion of a direct to consumer beverage brand was novel at the time; the idea that it would only be available via text message was totally unheard of. As we got to know them, it became apparent that Zak and Sommer were not only bringing vision and innovation to the beverage space, but also world class execution.
Dirty Lemon has now acquired over 100,000 customers and is one of the fastest growing digitally native beverage companies in the world. In 2017, they were named one of The 25 Most Innovative Companies in the food and beverage category by Forbes.
